You will need your journals. You will date/title your journal: "August 28 -- Presidential Presentations"
Every person must take notes on all the presentations. You will write down the president's name and at least 5 detailed notes per presentation. Each group will present their timeline and their video. We will start with the oldest president first and work our way to the president. During presentations, you will need to put away your computers and keep only your composition books and a pen/pencil. If/When we finish, we will watch a video that will introduce us to the Westward movement and you will take notes in your journal. Log on to Socrative for an exit ticket. For this project, you and a partner will be focusing on one of the many presidents we will be talking about during our course. You will have two class days to work on this project and then you will present your project to the class on Friday. You will work with one other person. You will create a presentation focusing on a president that will be assigned to you. Your presentation must include the following: • Timeline of the president’s life -- must include at least 10 major events. • You must include pictures • Examples: • Born • Died • Elected President • Military service (if any) • First political position • Marriage and children (personal life) • Major life events • Questions to answer (word document, at least one paragraph per question) • Who was he before he was president? • What were his successes as a president?
