You will work with your group to identify a myth about the "Wild West" and then tell the truth about what really happened. You will create an aesthetically pleasing poster that will state the myth (assigned to you), and include 10 facts telling the story of what really happened. Cite your sources and tell me where you go you information. Myths: 1. Settlers were constantly clashing with Indians 2. Bank robbing outlaws ruled the West 3. Cowboys are an American creation 4. Cowboys wore cowboy hats 5. Guns were rampant in the old West 6. The West was an incredibly violent place 7. Bank Robberies happened all the time in the Old West 8. American Indians were bloodthirsty savages 9. Indians were victims of ruthless whites 10. If you went West, you would probably be attacked by Indians 11. Train robberies occurred often and were really cool 12.
