Journal: Should America engage in imperialist activities? Why or why not? Focus on the late 1800's and early 1900's.
Before we go any further, go to Padlet and create an account. (You will need this for a future activity) Enter your information on this form. Today we will be finishing our notes on Imperialism. Check out this video. For this next part, I want you to look back through your notes. As a group, I want you to create 5 multiple choice questions, 4 short answer questions, and 1 short essay question. One person go to LucidPress and create a new document. That person will then share that document with their group. This will work like a Google Doc where everyone can collaborate and work on the same document at the same time. You will share this with me via my email, [email protected] . For Homework, Choose one of the political cartoons below and analyze it. Point out 5 items, and explain those 5 items, and then give one paragraph that summarizes the whole cartoon. Answer the question: What does this image tell the viewer? What does this cartoon have to do with imperialism? Do this on Evernote and email me the note when completed to [email protected] If you finish your questions early, you can work on your homework. We will have our Imperialism test on Wednesday. Due Wednesday: iMovie Trailer for your book. Side Note: Debate Transcript from First Block Friday was simply EPIC. Second Block, not too shabby either. We should do that again some time.
